Quiet Hours & Campground Courtesy

Help Keep the Park Peaceful

All guests are expected to be respectful of fellow campers and park staff.

  • Quiet Hours are strictly enforced from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Respect other guests, management, and park property at all times
  • Disruptive behavior, harassment, or repeated violations may result in eviction
  • Firearms, illegal drugs, and unlawful activities are prohibited
  • For emergencies, call 911 immediately
  • Report non-emergency concerns directly to management for assistance

Payment Policies & Site Agreements

Keeping Your Reservation in Good Standing

To maintain your campsite privileges:

  • Site payments are due upon move-in unless other arrangements have been approved
  • Checks and money orders are preferred over cash payments
  • A secure on-site drop box is available for payments
  • Payments more than five days overdue are subject to a 10% late fee
  • Failure to pay rent or comply with park policies may result in termination of your site agreement

Campsite Occupancy & Parking

Site Use Guidelines

Each campsite is designed for reasonable occupancy and vehicle access.

  • Standard occupancy includes two adults and their children
  • Additional adults may be subject to utility or occupancy fees
  • Two vehicles are permitted per campsite
  • Additional vehicles may be stored in designated areas for an additional monthly fee
  • Guests are responsible for following all campground policies
  • Frequent visitors may be subject to daily usage fees

Pet-Friendly Camping

Responsible Pet Ownership Required

Pets are welcome at Blennerhassett RV Park when properly supervised.

  • Pets must remain leashed while outdoors
  • One pet is permitted per responsible adult
  • Owners must clean up after their animals
  • Outdoor kennels are not permitted
  • Excessive barking or disruptive pet behavior is prohibited
  • A working dog patrols portions of the property

Campfires & Firewood

Fire Safety Guidelines

To protect campers and local ecosystems:

  • Ohio law prohibits bringing outside firewood into the campground
  • Firewood should be stacked neatly and safely
  • Do not burn trash, plastics, or prohibited materials
  • Keep fire rings clean and maintained
  • Follow all local fire restrictions when applicable

RV Requirements & Insurance

Keeping Your Equipment Ready

All RV owners are responsible for maintaining their equipment and coverage.

  • RVs must remain roadworthy with functioning wheels and tires
  • Campers should maintain adequate insurance coverage
  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings
  • RVs must be capable of relocation during emergencies or severe weather events

Safety is everyone's responsibility.

  • Call 911 for emergencies involving injury, illness, or accidents
  • Observe all posted speed limits throughout the campground
  • Watch for children, bicycles, and pedestrians
  • Playing in roadways and drive lanes is prohibited
  • Use designated recreational areas whenever possible

Campsite Safety

Prevent Common Hazards

Help create a safe environment for yourself and your neighbors.

  • All RVs must have a working smoke detector
  • A functional fire extinguisher is required
  • Retract awnings when leaving your campsite
  • Secure awnings with tie-downs when appropriate
  • Vehicle repairs and mechanical work are not permitted at campsites
  • Dispose of food waste and trash daily to discourage wildlife

Dumpster Rules

  • Never place hot ashes inside dumpsters
  • Use all available dumpster access points before overfilling one section
  • Dispose of trash properly to maintain a clean campground

Pond & Waterside Safety

Enjoy the Water Responsibly

Natural water features require extra caution.

  • Swimming in the pond is not recommended
  • Children and non-swimmers should wear life jackets near water
  • Be aware of changing river conditions, weather patterns, and water hazards
  • Parents are responsible for supervising children near water at all times

Electrical Service

Understanding Your Power Usage

Blennerhassett RV Park offers both metered and allowance-based electrical service options.

  • Long-term guests may contract directly through AEP Smart Meters
  • Short-term stays may utilize the park's electric allowance system
  • Monthly meter readings are recorded
  • Excess electrical consumption may result in additional charges
  • Turn off lights, air conditioners, and appliances when not in use
  • Excessive power usage from non-standard equipment may incur additional fees

Examples include:

  • Freezers and refrigerators outside the RV
  • Washers and dryers not installed as RV equipment
  • Hot tubs and other high-demand recreational equipment

Utility Billing

  • Electric charges are due with monthly site rent
  • Late utility payments may incur additional fees
  • Meter tampering may result in utility disconnection and eviction

Water Service Guidelines

Conserving a Shared Resource

The park is connected to a municipal water system.

  • Repair water leaks immediately
  • Water leaks causing excessive consumption may result in additional charges
  • Use only white potable-water hoses
  • Disconnect hoses when leaving your campsite
  • Keep water lines separated from sewer connections
  • Car washing and excessive water use may be restricted or subject to additional fees

Sewer & Septic Requirements

Proper Sewer Connections Matter

To maintain a healthy sewer system:

  • Close sewage valves when leaving for extended periods
  • Do not discharge grey or black water onto the ground
  • French wells are prohibited
  • Dispose of wipes, paper towels, and hygiene products in the trash
  • Use RV-approved toilet paper and treatment products
  • Hard PVC sewer connections are preferred

Winter Camping Requirements

Protect Your RV During Cold Weather

Winter conditions require additional preparation.

  • Heated water hoses are required
  • Trailer skirting is strongly recommended
  • Propane heat is encouraged to reduce excessive electrical usage
  • RV owners are responsible for winterizing their units
  • Disconnect water connections when leaving for multiple days

Planning a Larger Gathering?

To minimize disruptions to neighboring campers:

  • Events involving more than 12 outside guests require management approval
  • Guests must comply with all campground rules and safety guidelines
  • Excessive noise or disturbances may result in cancellation of the event

High Water & Flood Events

Be Prepared for Changing Conditions

Weather and river levels can change quickly.

  • RVs must remain movable with operational tires and wheels
  • All campers should maintain active insurance coverage
  • Guests must follow management instructions during emergency situations
  • Failure to relocate when directed may result in termination of campground privileges
  • RV owners are responsible for moving their units during high-water events

Abandoned Property Policy

Unclaimed RVs & Vehicles

To ensure proper management of campground sites:

  • Unpaid or unoccupied units left beyond authorized periods may be deemed abandoned
  • Storage, towing, and disposal costs become the responsibility of the owner
  • The campground reserves all rights provided under applicable Ohio abandonment laws
  • Failure to respond to notices may result in court-authorized removal or seizure of property
